Sol Gabetta on “TV Total” On Monday November 28th, Sol Gabetta appeared on the popular German TV show “TV Total” (Pro7) for the second time. With presenter Stefan Raab she spoke about her new CD „Il Progetto Vivaldi 2“. You can watch the video here . She also played one track of her album with the famous studio band „The Heavytones“, the fourth movement from Vivaldi´s sonata RV42. Sol Gabetta on number one in German classical charts With her new CD "Il progetto Vivaldi 2", Sol Gabetta has jumped straight to number one on the German classical charts. Sol Gabetta´s new CD enters German pop charts For the third time, Sol Gabetta has entered the German Top 100. With her new CD “Il Progetto Vivaldi 2” she reached number 82 of the German Top 100 longplay charts which are dominated by pop music. Her CD with cello concertos by Haydn, Hofmann and Mozart and her “Cantabile” album had also entered the pop charts. Sol Gabetta wins German Echo Klassik award 2011 Sol Gabetta receives the German classical award "Echo Klassik" for her Elgar CD. It is her third Echo Klassik award. The ceremony will take place on October 2nd in Berlin and will be broadcasted on ZDF. As last year, Thomas Gottschalk will be the presenter.On December 16th, Sol Gabetta will be guest at the "Harald Schmidt Show" on German television ARD. Sol Gabetta will be the presenter of a new German classical TV show called "KlickKlack" at Bayerisches Fernsehen. As one of the few classical artists, she had already jumped into the German pop charts with her last CD "Cantabile". She will present her new CD with cello concertos of Haydn, Hofmann and Mozart. Sol Gabetta receives Argentinean "Premio Gardel" award Sol Gabetta has won the "Premio Gardel" for the third time in a row. Her Shostakovich CD was honoured as best classical album of the year. The „Premio Gardel“ is the most important music award in Argentina. Sol Gabetta receives ECHO Klassik award 2009 Sol Gabetta receives the German ECHO Klassik award 2009 for her Shostakovich CD with Münchner Philharmoniker as concerto recording of the year (20./21. century). It is her second ECHO Klassik award, receiving one for her debut CD in 2007.
